I like this post, Luc. Thanks.

There is a class of things that share the unique property that the more you share them, the greater they become. Shakespeare desribed in the Merchant Of Venice, "The quality of Mercy is not strained... It is twice blessed.... It bleeseth him who gives and him who takes."
Knowledge, power and responsibility are similar. You cannot lose knowledge by giving it away, but others can gain from it and all can gain by connecting knowledge together.

Delegation is how we increase power by investing other people with our power and giving a responsibility to a delegate does not reduce our own repsonsibility.

Perhaps the grreatest multiplier of itself in this way, is trust. The more we are trusted, the more we trust. We cannot begin to trust others, nor can they trust us until we trust ourselves. We trust ourselves when gain knowledge about ourselves by doing things and getting feedback about the effect we have had.

The more I think about it the more things I feel fit in this category including love and democracy, but sadly not laptops left on trains! Isn't lucky you have a newtwork to turn the problem into an opportunity.

Thansk again for the post , Luc.
